ROBERT AND MARIAM
On Robert and Mariam’s wedding day, there was a moment that touched me more deeply than anything else. While searching for interesting light, I stepped into a neighboring room and noticed an open diary lying on the table. On the exposed page, in Mariam’s delicate handwriting, it read: “My Dear Robert! Words are not enough…”
Later I learned that she had written these lines that very morning. If you look closely at the photograph, you’ll notice the little scribbles around the text — gentle, emotional traces of her excitement. That single diary page spoke more about their tender, beautiful love than any planned detail ever could. It captured the essence of a bride’s heart on her wedding morning.
Their wedding was all about love — intimate moments, elegant details, and a meaningful focus on what truly matters. Life, however, brings its own surprises. In the middle of the celebration, the weather suddenly shifted. Rain began to fall, strong winds rose, and the entire stage was blown over; equipment was damaged, and the grand setup had to be abandoned.
Yet the celebration didn’t stop. The large band gathered under a small tent and continued playing with just two speakers. Nature had its own plans, but nothing could overshadow their joy or the energy of their love.
As their wedding photographer, I continued documenting everything — the cold, the rain, the atmosphere, and above all, their emotions. I focused on capturing the true story of their day in a candid, documentary style.
When Robert and Mariam later looked through their wedding photos, they told me that they relived their entire beautiful day from beginning to end. For a wedding photographer, there is no greater compliment.
This is why I love what I do: preserving real emotions, authentic moments, and the kind of love that stays with you forever.
